Founded in 1943, Manhattan Day School/Yeshiva Ohr Torah is a Modern Orthodox day school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan serving Toddlers through Eighth Grade. The warm, vibrant, Torah community of MDS nurtures the light in each student. Our environment cultivates each student's individuality while celebrating our collective energy.

Our warm and welcoming school community embraces students and families from around the city and around the world, and celebrates the diversity of customs and backgrounds represented. It is powerful to be part of a community that is an 80 year old day school that is always evolving to meet the needs of today’s children.

Manhattan Day School is a nurturing and academically robust Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School, serving toddlers through 8th grade students.

Our educational experience empowers students with the knowledge and confidence to realize their potential, inspiring them to make a meaningful impact within the Jewish community and beyond.
