When entering MDS Middle School, our students take a deeper dive into academic subjects, critical thinking and questioning, and logical reasoning. Each student is challenged to reach his or her potential in a respectful and sensitive fashion and academic skills are encouraged through research projects, collaborative work and long-term advocacy projects.
As our students rotate among more teachers for subject-specific instruction, they develop the study and prioritization of skills that will be necessary when they enter High School and juggle a more demanding academic load. With the active support and guidance of our teachers and support staff, middle school students gain increasing academic independence and embrace scholarship.
Our students are taught to value education beyond the classroom and they develop a strong sense of community that lasts through high school and beyond.
